We hired American Irrigation Repair to provide maintenance on an existing sprinkler system and install a large irrigation system on the back half of a 1.2 Acre lot. At first I thought the quote might be a little high, but I was confident they would do a good job. Let me tell you, they exceeded our expectations and confirmed our decision was correct in selecting them for this large project. The install team, managed by ****, was professional, they went out of their way not to damage anything, picked up the job site every day and put the yard back as good as new. I would highly recommend American Irrigation for all your irrigation and irrigation repair. The crew did a great job repairing irrigation in our backyard. They also checked and replaced other lines and sprinkler heads that needed replaced throughout our yard.
After they finished all the work, you could not even tell where repairs were done. They cleaned up everything and even hosed down our patio.

Last year I had this company out because I WAS having a problem with a sprinkler head. They inspected them all and fixed the broken one for a very reasonable price. This year I had no specific problem but wanted to make sure the water was getting to the right places and to insure that nothing was broken. I got the same person as last year and he is just the best. I had 1 head that needed replacing and he reset the system to go off at 2 a.m. instead of 6 which will be better for my lawn. Juan came over and within 15 minutes had my sprinkler system running. He then gave me a detailed estimate on what it would cost to get my sprinkler system functioning at its maximum. I payed for the estimate and couldn't be happier. I also signed up for a yearly service. Juan also gave me a City of Round Rock application for a rebate for getting my sprinkler system checked and serviced by a sprinkler provider. Juan M. arrived on time as promised. Did a complete sprinkler head and system check to determine any issues. In addition to the one broken head I had knowledge of he found four others that were not working correctly (after 10 years of service). Juan fixed these five heads and some wiring that my yard crew had messed up. He also provided some new pvc protection for it for the future. Juan pointed out my rain sensor was broken and missing pieces. I chose not to replace it as I felt it really wasn't needed. I just turned it off. After checking everything for correct operation we discussed the bill. I felt it was reasonable for the work done. I have no complaints about the work performed or the cost. Ridiculously incompetent. Having told the technicians before they arrived that there were wiring issues they said there were no wiring issues, that one of the three controllers was defective and needed replacing, and that the system pressure was low which could be corrected by replacing all the nozzles. I have the written quotation. The real issue was that two controllers were over-lapping in run time, causing the pressure drop. Re-alignment of the controller run-times solved the problem. The wiring issue was resolved with the purchase of a $200 piece of equipment to find the fault, not paying $247 for a work-around. The total estimate of $2561 (excluding cost of replacing the allegedly defective controller) for remedial work defied belief. The incompetence of the techs forced me to do the job myself. Owner Comment Hi Simon I appreciate your taking the time to leave us feedback. My technician found that your system had low pressure on many stations. The estimate was for control valve repairs and retrofitting to low flow rate style heads and nozzles. Lowering the flow rate increases the pressure and distance of throw on the heads. A year ago I was in need of a company to fix my irrigation system. Previously I had used one that was recommended to me from a neighbor. Needless to say I wasn't pleased with that one. He listened to what I wanted done and then went about his work very efficiently. He came back and we discussed what he had found and discussed several options for doing the work. He replaced some bad sprinkler heads, put in more efficient heads in some spots to make sure I was getting the best coverage and moved some heads at my request. The most challenging task I've ever experienced is to locate a broken irrigation pipe, underground, with no signs of water...on a 1 acre property. Juan and crew were professional, on time, and stayed focused on finding and fixing the problem. Communication updates from Ashly and overall service was 1st class and their fee was very fair. I have been very pleased with American Irrigation Repair and have continued to use them for over a year now......Rob came out as scheduled yesterday and did an outstanding job as usual!! He is very personable and customer focused and went the extra mile to make sure all our bubblers were installed and set properly. In addition to checking water coverage for all stations, he even took care of a head that had been bumped and wasn’t getting water to one of our plants. We have been using them for about 2 years. Jim is our technician and he and his helper are very friendly and professional. Jim takes time to explain all repairs or any problems that he sees and sometimes will give us different options to fix to a problem. They are punctual which is a BIG deal for me. We had our sprinkler system turned off due to all our rain of late. Very mysteriously it turned itself on early one Sunday morning. Not only did it turn itself on but all 3 zones were watering simultaneously. There was nothing that could be done to get it to stop watering. Finally, a neighbor turned off our water supply. We were without water for 24 hours and that was terrible! American Irrigation to the rescue!. They were very punctual, very courteous to the point of being sweet and thoughtful. They examined the system and found that the computer in the control panel was worn out. It was such a weird thing that we feared it would be impossible to diagnose. They worked efficiently and expertly. I am very pleased with the service. (See More)
