Not impressed! It rained all morning. When they arrived they immediately complained that they were the only team that had been called in to work and told me they were not sure they could do the job, I guess because the ground was too wet. Not a good first impression. It was obvious that they didn't want to be there. They started by checking out my system and putting flags at various places but didn't bother to explain to me what they were doing. A little communication would have been good. I had called them because zone 4 had low pressure and I suspected the valve was bad. Finally they checked it and determined that the valve needed to be replaced but he told me he really didn't wat to do it today and that it would tear up my yard. I told him my regular irragation repair company just unscrewed that top of the valve and inserted new parts. He told me they didn't do it that way. I agreed that I didn't want them to tear up my yard and (or do anything at all) so I paid the $99 inspection fee and sent them on their way. Not a great experience. We have been using American Irrigation since we moved to Georgetown 3-1/2 years ago and we continue to be very pleased with their services. Krysten and all of the office staff are always helpful and a pleasure to talk to when a service call is needed. They work with your schedule and when it is convenient for you instead of the other way around. I joined their club about 3 months ago and it is definitely worth it with the benefits that go along with membership. Our home is on an acre that is a challenge to keep watered...constant wind and numerous slopes coupled with water restrictions make it hard to keep it green during the hot dry summers. Ryan has always demonstrated an understanding of problems when they arise and has offered solutions each time. We have a lot invested in landscape and I am glad to have Ryan, Jaime and American Irrigation looking out for our investment. So glad you contacted me, I tried the other site with no luck, but I did give a review with the BBB. AIR was recommended by my daughter and her husband who have raved about their service for years. They have a contract with their A/C and the irrigation system. The men were prompt, very professional, and very complimentary about my yard and gardens. They tested and checked each station and adjusted some heads. They always arrive within the time scheduled, take time to explain any concerns a customer has and if repairs are needed you are given an explanation of work needed and pricing before it's done. We love this company and have had them come out two times now. They originally had me scheduled two weeks out but I asked if they could contact me if a cancellation occurred. Overall, the work done was satisfactory. However, repairing a damaged electrical control wire should not have cost $150 and seems to be emitting electrical interference with our remote control transmitters for our garage door. We have been unable to use them since the day of the irrigation repairs. Owner comment: Hi Tom I apologize for the inconvenience on the door. American Irrigation Repair sent several people to look at my 18 year old system. They were all great, and very polite. The only valve that didn't need rebuilding was one that had been done about 10 years ago. They didn't just replace the guts, either. They are like new! They also went above and beyond my expectations fixing a hose bib that the original installers used a PVC pipe 2 feet tall, with no shut off. Unfortunately, two weeks later there was a water pressure problem, he came back out immediately and spent several hours getting it working perfectly, again. He easily diagnosed the problem areas and had the sprinklers up and spraying correctly and programmed the system so I can very quickly and confidently turn it on anytime I need to. Filiberto and his assistant quickly and efficiently addressed the known issues with our system, and were also very proactive in addressing (and fixing) other issues we were unaware of. Since we are new to the house, he also showed us how to use the system, recommended (and set) a good schedule, and then walked each zone with us to explain the repairs/adjustments he had made and to observe spray patterns. He even replaced at no additional charge a couple of heads based on my comments. We were extremely impressed with his knowledge and service, and will definitely be calling these guys again.
