Last week I had to resod my backyard, and the crew that did the work said one of the sprinkler heads was "messed up." I called in American Irrigation Repair, who arrived punctually and set to work checking the operation of my entire yard. It had been several years since I did my own checking, and these two men found leaky risers, plugged sprinklers, and even one buried sprinkler. Really impressed with this service. Early April was such a busy time, we called 10 sprinkler companies and no one could come out for 10 days. A couple years ago we had a leak in our sprinkler system. Our technician repaired it and then did a thorough check on the rest of our system. We were very pleased, so when the water company recently informed us that we had a leak and suggested it was the sprinkler system, I called American Irrigation. The technician quickly discovered it actually was not the sprinkler system and advised me to call a plumber. I fully expected to pay a service call fee, but was told there would be no charge. After having several repairs done by another company, I called this company to resolve the issue, which they did, first try. So when I found a huge leak in my irrigation system today, I immediately looked for the receipt from the previous work. I called on a Saturday morning and they were able to get a service crew to the house within an hour. They found and fixed the busted pipe ASAP. They minimized damage to the grass in the area where the leak occurred. They were very professional, very responsive, and very impressive. Very impressive all the way around. Couldn't be happier. I found a leak in my sprinkler system. Called and scheduled the repair for next day. Technician called when they were 30 minutes out. Inspected not only the leak but the entire sprinkler system. Fixed the problem and fine tuned the rest of what I had. what I liked the most is how they did things. "When we began considering having a sprinkler system installed, our neighbor recommended American Irrigation Repair. Thankfully we took his advice. Justin came out and discussed what we had in mind and then offered suggestions based on what we wanted to do. He measured our yard, then wrote up a detailed estimate, complete with plenty of literature on the products (sprinkler heads, controllers, etc...) that they use. By the way, they use multiple companies' products, not just one, so you don't feel like they are a sales person for a particular company. We have ultimately decided to put the project on hold, but will definitely call American Irrigation Repair later this year when we are ready to proceed with a sprinkler system install." They were able to schedule a crew to come out to my home the morning after I called, at a time that was convenient for me. They arrived on time and listened to my problem, then inspected the system and determined the repairs that were needed. Rob advised me on a couple of additional repairs that I would probably need in the future but did not at all try to pressure me into doing them now. They performed the repairs that I needed and were done in less than 3 hours from the time they arrived. Wow!! I found out this morning our tenants had a leak in their irrigation system and 26k gallons of water had been wasted in the last 10 days. So I called American Irrigation and was so blessed by Tracy's helpfulness. She made sure to get a tech out ASAP, she was patient with missed phone calls as I was in mtgs, and she followed up afterwards once the work was completed....total time was about 3.5 hours!! I am so impressed with how attentive Tracy and her techs were. To top it off, the final invoice was reasonable. Every company should provide this level of customer service, exceptional!! Excellent customer service! We were able to schedule quickly, the technicians were prompt and knew what they were doing. Our sprinkler system was struck by lightening and totally fried. They replaced the box and checked everything else out while they were on site- fixing a couple of heads while they were at it. The cost was quite a bit less than expected. Took the time to verify, and adjust or replace when needed, that all of the sprinklers were delivering water where intended. Had a new patio poured and needed my my main water ine rerouted and new valve installed. Jim and his partner came out when they said they would, looked at all of the heads, recommended some be fixed and was able to reroute main line around new patio plus add new heads and install new valves. This company and it's field workers are great. Had several major problems (2 zones were not working) and several minor ones (heads and nozzles). Jim and his helper Carlos diagnosed the problems and fixed them within 2-2.5 hours. They were very professional and courteous. The price they charged was really reasonable. Have been through two other sprinkler companies in the past, trying to get our sprinkler system functional. We have a small strip on the side of the lawn that, despite repeated service calls from the previous company, (and $$), still had dry spots and dead grass by the end of summer. Sean and American Irrigation were able to make adjustments to the sprinklers so that we had no more dead spots. I Purchased a new irrigation system a few weeks ago, I did what anyone would do and set up several appointment with multiple companies. Three to be exact, I called and left messages with all three companies and Justin with American Irrigation was the first to get back with me.(within the same day I left message) He was very professional on the phone so I set an appointment to meet him the next day. I personally work in a very similar field of business where I meet in homes for consulting about water filtration. When we were done discussing the options for the sprinkler system to be installed at my home. I knew it was the company I would be doing business with. He was genuine about supplying me with my needs and not him with his. I run my business the same way in a home and never pressure people into making a rash decision. He is the only person I needed to talk with, he said he would give me a few days to think about it and if there were any questions I could call. The next day I called him back and scheduled an install, there were so many things that stuck out in my mind about his professionalism that it made it a very easy decision for me and my wife. I do not write very many reviews - and frankly, most of them are poor. This is the exception - these folks are top notch. I had a leak and even before that I knew I was not getting good coverage. They came out when they said they would, performed the inspection and did the work - that would get them a 3 or 4 star rating. Then, they took the time to look over the whole system again to see what was up with my coverage. They offered several solutions, no hard sell, once I picked one, they scheduled the next appointment and again came out right when they promised. Fantastic is the word!!! Very affordable .Will recommend to anyone who wants to get everything done on a low budget.Worth every buck. This is what I thought of their first visit.Their second and third visit has been a nightmare for me.They fixed the sprinkler controller and messed up the sprinkler head.I have a leak and now the water is flowing down the street.... Everything was fine until they came in.....I have more complications than you can imagine.. My impression is totally wrong about these guys. So I'm updating my review because I've had another experience with American Irrigation, and I couldn't be happier. After their first visit, I noticed that one of the sprinkler heads that was supposed to be fixed on their first visit still wasn't working. I called their offices and they sent someone out the next day. He was also local and I think even lives in my neighborhood. Long story short, he discovered the head was clogged, cleaned it out, tested the system and we are good to go. He was very friendly and I wasn't charged a penny. Our experience with American Irrigation was great! They were able to schedule an appt. within a few days mid-summer (when I'm sure they are the busiest!). The technician, Brad, was very thorough & knowledgable. We had just moved into to a 20 year-old house and the sprinkler system had many issues. He made suggestions that were specific to the trees and plants in our yard to make sure they weren't over or under watered. He helped us map our system and to quit watering our rocks. : ). Overall pretty good experience. The person who answers the phone was very friendly, and my appointment was set for a few days later. They arrived within the window given when I made the appointment. I'm giving 3 stars because although the tech did a good job and the price was somewhat reasonable, he really wasn't that friendly. He came across as someone who really didn't want to be there answering my questions. This is the first sprinkler system I've ever owned and I requested that he show me how to use the system and understand all the details of it all and the upkeep. He explained how the system works and ran through a quick overview, but I still feel a little uncertain about it (thank goodness he brought me the manual that he found). I didn't want to ask him to slow down or show me again because I really didn't want to bother him with it, given the attitude. So, if that part would have been better, I think I would have given 5 stars. It's all about customer service in my book. These guys are lifesavers! Last Summer I realized half of my zones were not working and my grass was dying. I called them and they diagnosed and repaired the problem (a contractor had cut the wires to my valves) within 24 hours. After buying a house, we inherited a shoddily constructed sprinkler system. One of the zones were leaking and I couldn't find the value for it. The sprinkler techs from American Irrigation Repair arrived on time, gave a reasonable quote, found and replaced the value in under an hour! They also properly respliced the wiring that had just been twisted before. The only downside is that they seemed to be in a hurry to get to their next job, but I'll take that as an acceptable trade-off with being punctual and efficient. Ashly W. 08/07/12 |

have used other companies but when these guys showed up and I talked to them for a couple minutes, I could tell they were very professional and knew what they were doing. I showed them all the repairs needed and left them to do their thing...the good news was when I got home, everything they were suppose to do got done and done right the first time. Final bill was very reasonable. Will use them again. These guys really are great...I called them on a weekend when my mother in law's house had a major leak in the front yard. We thought it was the sprinkler system and could not get it turned off. Even though they were closed..they answered the phone and were able to get a tech out to her house quickly. The tech showed up and said the leak was not the sprinkler system and was the main plumbing line to the house. It took him only 5 or 10 minutes to figure that out. My mother in law offered to pay him for the service call but he declined saying it was not that much effort. Once again, I have called on American Irrigation Repair, and as always they have done a great job. I ran over a sprinkler head (and blamed it on my wife) and they fixed it with no issue and no damage to the surrounding ground cover. I also had a sprinkler that was watering the drive way and the street. I was never able to get it just right when I tried to fix it myself, but these guys fixed it with ease.
