After 4 hours, I called to make sure someone was still coming today as stated. On his way was the response due to unforseen difficulties. He made it about 45 mins. later. He was very friendly & apologetic. It took him about 15 - 20 mins. to open my drain and that includes taking the equipment down & back to the truck. James came as quick as he could and immediately fixed my broken water line that was spewing water (over 100 gallon) into my unfinished basement. James was quick, efficient and professional. We recently moved to Asheville into a new home and the hot water heater was not working when we moved in. I called Roto Rooter and they sent someone out the very next day. Everyone we worked with was very kind and thoughtful. The hot water heater needed a part that they didn't have so they said they would order it and return as soon as it arrived (a few days or so). So 1-2 weeks went by and I didn't hear anything. I eventually called about 3 weeks after the first visit and it turns out the part was (mistakenly) never ordered. So it was finally ordered then. But we still didn't hear anything for almost another 2 weeks! To give an idea of the timeline - our initial call was on June 27th, initial visit on June 28th - and the part was not installed until August 7th. And we still paid ~180 for the first visit and ~280 for the second visit. Again, everyone at Roto Rooter that we worked with including the people who came out to our house were all very kind and easy to work with so I am not upset about our interactions - but I am REALLY frustrated that it took over a month for a simple part to be fixed and it felt like the only reason it happened is because I kept calling them and asking them for updates. Additionally, when they did send someone out to replace the piece, they called me and asked if they could send out a technician (I was in the middle of work so asked them to call my husband and ask if was home and available). Well they called my husband, but told them they had already sent a technician who would be there in 15 minutes - which isn't what I discussed with them on the phone. My husband had to cancel other plans to get back to the house. Again, really nice people overall - but the whole experience was super frustrating and the fact that it look ~6 weeks for this to get done and we still paid almost $ 500 bucks - well it's beyond me! Called for service at 8:00 AM Saturday morning, explained the problem had been ongoing for a week, they scheduled the appointment for same day and an hour and a half later the technician was in the driveway. It was an hour commute. He identified the problem and had it corrected in about an hour. Wore booties when he came into the house, cleaned everything up when he was done, very outgoing and helpful. Very satisfied with the service I received. Got a firm appointment, something I don't get from local service contractors and got a confirmation call. The morning of my appointment the dispatcher called to let me know that James was on his way. James showed up 10 minutes early and went right to work. James was very professional, did a first rate job of replacing an whole home filter system that was leaking. After James completed his work, he went over what he did and cleaned up so well, you would not have known he was there. Ask for James if you schedule any work. In desperation we called Roto Rooter on July 4th with a septic issue and a house full at our lake house. We were pleasantly surprised to have an appointment within 3 hours. The technician was very polite and wanted to truly help and got us up and running until they could return first thing the next morning with a part needed for completion.
